Apple Mac Mail and Outlook.com Password Issues.

If you use Apple Mac Mail with a Microsoft Outlook.com account then you might start to get and see issues and problems after September 16th 2024, this is because Microsoft had completed the process of Modern email sign in Authentication.

If you want to continue to use Apple Mac Mail with a Microsoft Outlook.com account then a few additional steps are necessary if you used Outlook.com and Apple Mac Mail that is setup as an iMap account, for a Outlook.com and Apple Mac Mail POP account then more steps are necessary to avoid email data loss.

If you use Microsoft Outlook.com email address accounts with either an Apple iPhone or with an Apple iPad, when adding an Outlook.com email account then the iPhone and the iPad will automatically take you to the Microsoft Sign in page to authenticate your Microsoft Outlook.com account, currently this is missing from MacOS and with MacOS Sonoma but with the new MacOS Sequoia Apple and Microsoft might add the Outlook.com menu when adding a Microsoft Outlook.com password account, if this does not happen the of course you can use the Outlook application on Mac OS

Workarounds to the Microsoft Outlook and MacOS Apple Mac Mail Modern Authentication.

You can use the Microsoft Outlook Application on Mac OS by either downloading the Microsoft Outlook Application from the Mac OS Apple Store or you can sign into your your Microsoft account online using MacOS Safari then you can use an option to download Microsoft Outlook for MacOS.

You can also use Apple Safari or Microsoft Edge on macOS to use your Microsoft Outlook.com account.
